Weather Station – Printed at Cork Printmaker’s Studio, Ireland 2022-3 using laser-cut woodblocks created at Frans Masereel Centrum in 2020. Variations in colour, orientation and layering of blocks are explored as series of monoprints on Japanese paper. I am rarely interested in creating editions using printmaking as a way of experimenting and exploring themes, preferring variation to uniformity. These prints map the weather over Kasterlee during my residency when I was focussed on a climate related series The Weight of Clouds.

Shift – a series of small solvent release prints printed at Bent Press Studio, Australia 2023. They explore the fragility of the ice landscape of Antarctica through the metaphor of the dissolving of the image by the solvent and the dissolving of the landscape as the ice melts.
