New visual work under my overall umbrella project, since 2016, The Now Solid Air. An exploration of borders-boundaries of digital and material/woodblock printing. The forest seen through intermediary processes of camera lens and image editing, contrasting with analogue plywood substrate, a ‘forest product’. Continuing my thinking about perception exploring many ways of looking, asking are we windows or mirrors? How can we hold and restore our attention, resisting the commodification of our gaze?
